Dolomite Lime

A soil amendment that raises the pH of acidic soils and is derived from naturally-occurring limestone deposits.

Just a reminder… Gardening can be a dirty business! We recommend using gardening gloves and washing your hands afterwards. Use with adult supervision and store in a dry area away from kids and pets.

We highly recommend that you have your soil tested first before adjusting the pH. The optimum pH for most plants is between 6 and 7.

HOW TO TEST SOIL

Get samples of your soil by going out into the area and taking several samples long the edges and center. Then, send these away for an official soil analysis. If you don’t know where to send your soil for analysis, contact your local county extension agent. This analysis will also tell you what type of soil you have and other nutrient information along with the pH. There are also home test kits that are available to check pH.
