Just a reminder… Gardening can be a dirty business! We recommend using gardening gloves and washing your hands afterwards. Use with adult supervision and store in a dry area away from kids and pets.

  1. Choose a small pot, shallow tray, or cell-pack that has drainage holes
  2. Fill container with Whitney Farms® Organic & Natural Seed Starting Mix
  3. Plant seed at proper depth in soil
  4. Water gently

Tips

Refer to seed packet for proper planting depth and spacing.

Water is important for seedling growth – avoid over or under watering by checking soil frequently.

Place planted containers into a sunny window (south facing is best) or under a cool fluorescent light to grow sturdy and strong seedlings.

When seedlings are ready to move outside, be sure to acclimate or ‘harden-off’ to toughen them up and get them ready for their new home.

If soil mix dries out in bag, simply remoisten with warm water prior to planting.
