Just a reminder…Gardening can be a dirty business! We recommend using gardening gloves and washing your hands afterwards. Use with adult supervision and store in a dry area away from kids and pets.

  1. Fill a tub with desired amount of Whitney Farms® Organic Sphagnum Peat Moss
  2. Add other ingredients (such as perlite or plant food)
  3. Mix thoroughly

HOW TO STORE BULBS AND ROOT CROPS

  1. Place bulbs or roots in a container
  2. Pour Whitney Farms® Organic Sphagnum Peat Moss around bulbs

How much to apply

We recommend adding 5-10% perlite to your mix and adding an organic plant food to help plants flourish. Check out our Whitney Farms® Natural Perlite and Whitney Farms® Organic & Natural All Purpose Plant Food. If the finished mix appears too dry, simply remoisten with warm water prior to planting.

Tips

Storing bulbs and root crops: When placing sphagnum peat moss around bulbs or roots, avoid packing it tightly. Bulbs and root crops store best in a cool, dry location.
